Corporate Confession of Sin
O Lord, there is none like you in all the earth. There is none so powerful, sovereign, and glorious as you. This makes our sin all the more grievous. We confess that we have not acknowledged your power or your glory as we ought. We often seek pleasure and status in lesser things. We often proclaim your name with our lips while our hearts are far from you. For this and many things more, we humbly ask your forgiveness. We confess our sin. We deserve to have the worst of your plagues poured out upon us. But we also trust in your mercy through Christ.
Thank you for always forgiving us through his precious blood. Thank you for always being gracious to us, even though we stumble and fall so often. Thank you for always being patient and loving to us, even though we often resist and rebel against you. Thank you for removing your wrath, which we so much deserve. We repent for the sake of your great Name. Teach us your ways. Guide us in your paths. And continue to lead us into your eternal glorious Kingdom. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
